Despite entering their maiden European campaign, Crystal Palace are learning at a rapid pace. Missing key figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a comfortable win that virtually secures them a place in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
A further victory in their next match against Finland's KuPS should be sufficient to seal straight passage to the knockout stages, especially after a prior setback against Strasbourg.

This occasion offered a chance for several Palace's lesser-used talent to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second start since arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a clinical goal. The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also missed a glaring chance, showing there is still room for improvement in his game.
The only worry for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise positive night for the traveling side.
